Pull the Trigger

There is so much fear in the world today. We are so involved with our jobs, our country, our laws, our family, our debt. We fall back on social media and other forms of temporary enjoyment to fill our day. We are scared of change. And truth be told, it’s a scary thing to make a move. Our economy and social laws are set in place to create fear for a reason. They don’t want us to change. They want us to remain part of the machine. So we stay still, paralyzed by fear. We fear the unknown. We are afraid of what might happen if change occurs. So we stay still. We stay with what we know.

If there is anything I’ve learned over the past few years, its this; you will almost certainly be better for it if you brave the unknown. Take that new job. Move to that new city. Pick up that new hobby or trade and run with it. What do you have to lose? The worst thing that could possibly happen is that you end up in the same place from which you started.

A man who’s willing to work will always find work.

I have a mortgage and bills to pay. I have a family that depends on me to provide for them. I am not afraid of the unknown. I will throw the dice and gamble every time if I believe in what I am betting for. If I lose, I lose. But I will still have my heart. I will still have my mind. Nobody can take that from me, and nobody can take that from you. This life is what we make it. Sometimes you have to pull the trigger and see what happens.

Nothing can stop a man when his soul’s set to purpose.

Nobody can take anything away from you that you aren’t willing to give up. So don’t give up on yourself. Chase the dream that you’ve always wanted to. Pick up your family and move. Start a new job and a new life. Let hope grow. Make a change that will not only benefit you, but also the generations to come.

What are you waiting for? Submit the application. Start house hunting. Take that trip. Sign up for that Spartan Race or half marathon. Do something that you’ve never done before.

Pull the trigger.
